I need to build a professional website for my business with a layered calendar with different access levels to it, branded domain and emails and easy design with images and layout. I am not very web savvy and need an easy way to make changes too with an editing program.

How do I get setup as cost effective as possible? I need the following:

A reliable Web Hosting place with good customer service and bandwidth for as cheap as possible
A easy to use web design program
ability to change the site easily
domain branding and domain emails
Links to web design for dummies type of articles

Features I would like to have:
a layered calendar that shows different information based on your access levels
file sharing based on access levels
easy to use wiki that can be given different levels of access

On the point of hosting, I like my hoster, PowWeb. Plus they support (really easy to install) Joomla! or phpCMS, which are both free content management systems, which make it easy to edit the site. As for the other points, you best consult a professional web developer, as I doubt many people could build a decent wiki on their own, set it up, debug etc and a layered calender. But I guess that's why you were asking.
If you are going to try yourself, get a trial download of DreamWeaver or similar.
Also, for the members' system you're going to need some server side stuff (PHP, or ASP, ColdFusion etc) so look for the availability of those when you get web hosting. AS I said before, I like my hoster PowWeb who are pretty good on customer satisfaction (if a little slow on more complex questions). You can find a link to them at www.foundation-flash.com/powweb.php

Other will disagree with me (I guarantee) but that's my pennyworth.

Hope it helps,

Harry
