Hi there.

I am creating a website for someone and also registering domain names for them.

What is the best way of registering a domain for them without asking for card details.

Should I pay for the domains myself, then invoice the user?

And do this everytime the direct debit has come out of my account?

Advice please

Why register the names for them? Could just show them how to pick and choose a domain, and have them take care of the legalities.

Why don't you pay for it and then add this onto the charge for the website?

If you are not charging them just say they need to cover the charges for your expenses (domain, hosting)

Most of my customers seem to be rather inexperienced. I would rather buy the domain and then charge them for it so I can set up the nameservers while I am at it. Most of them do not want to create an account, make sure they repurchase the domain in a year or want to learn how to set up nameservers, so I have just found billing them to be easier - and so have my customers.
