Does anyone here use SMF for their forum software, or are familiar with how to theme it? I do pretty well with Wordpress and even a little phpBB theming...but SMF has so many files in it I'm not sure where to start. Anyone that can provide a little help, or knows of a great resource for it, would be great help.

Basically I want the look of my smf installation to mimic the look of the main site.

You can check the smf website and browse out their themes there. They are freely available you can download the one that suits your forum and then install it. Is it 1.1.3 cos max themes are of 1.1.3. They also have a softwar called theme creator with which you can create the theme of your choice.

Oh I haven't seen the theme creator. This is my first time using smf, so thanks for the tips.

Tell me if you want that link to the theme creator. I'm on my laptop, so I don't have it in my favorites right now.

P.S. All it does is change the colors of the current layout, it doesn't actually change the layout at all.
