Sorry I am posting this again, but my other thread was locked. When I try to upload the forum to the 1and1 server it says this:

Details:
200 Type set to I
227 Entering Passive Mode (74,208,80,155,207,218).
550 index_body.html: Permission denied

Does 1and1 block you from editing their forum they give you as an app?

Thanks

Turn OFF passive mode, firewalls will often block the passive handshaking and port negotiation as "port scanning attemps"

I turned my firewall off, and my ftp should be setup for that. I am using the network places connection to my ftp. But I still get the error.

It's the server firewall that may be blocking you.

Highly unlikely you will have firewall access

Try using a FTP client such as Filezilla or CuteFTP

Kindly re-propagate the FTP user permission and have a try.
