Hello,
I am DrKris and I am planning on creating my own website that will be dealing in help/advice with financial, emotional, and physical problems. I need my site to look professional, with my own custom images (possibly loaded into a template). I have limited technical skills so I would need either a)a template or b)a web design created for me. The need for a forum is VITAL, and I would ideally like my website to be fully interactive.
I also need fast webhosting. I need servers that will load any page on my site quickly. Also, "what you see is what you get" editing will be needed (on every page, including forums). I am hoping that I will generate a fair amount of traffic after a few months, so unlimited upload/bandwidth would be nice, but not essential.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction? As I have scoured the web meticulously and all I get is conflicting messages. I'm hoping the members of this forum will provide an independent opinion.

But you must understand I have never owned/made/created ANY website or even a blog/subsite(myspace etc) before. Please can you point me in the right direction? In your opinion, which developer best suits my needs?

If that's the case.. Why don't you browse over the net and make a list of few websites that you fancy about or perhaps have the characteristics that you desired for your own website later on..

Then you can start looking for a developer who can give you the result based on your design requirements.

Put aside the hosting firsts..Take one step at a time
