Ive been making a site for the game eve online.

I'm having very odd problems with the index page though.

For example at the temporary domain at http://74.63.81.212/~evewebor/ or at a free host http://testcorp.comoj.com/ the load time is not perfect but its acceptable.

However if you point your browser to the new domain eveweb.org it takes ages to load.

Could someone please shed some light as to what could be the problem, taking in mind on some adresses it loads fine and on others not.

1. Make sure you have the correct nameservers for the .org domain.
2. If the domain is less than 48 hours old it may still be propagating.
3. Make sure all your Shockwave and/or Flash files are uploaded and in their
correct directories.

The hosting service did the domain so I believe the nameservers are correct, and I've consulted them and they say it had propogated correctly (the domain is just about 48hrs old).

The flash and swf files are loaded to public_html.

It has to be a problem with your hosting companies DNS on their nameservers. If the site only loaded slow the first time, it could just be a DNS lookup slowdown, but since it loads slow every time, that means the routing on their nameservers is having an issue.

Provide them with the same info you provided here and they should be able to sort it out. If not, you need to find a new host.

Actually, after looking a bit more, it appears to be a apache configuration issue on your server. Still, it's your hosting companies problem (unless you are on a dedicated server).

Hmm, well you didn't mention before that you had the same issue on another host. That being said, if you had the same problem on two diff hosts, it's now most likely a problem with your code since the chance of two hosting companies having the same DNS or apache configuration problem is really slim.

Did you notice that there are no errors when using the temporary url, but when using the domain name, line 70 produces an error? I'm not a flash expert, so I don't know why, but it's worth a look.

bloody got it i think. found a line of code calling up a js script which wasn't there.

found it using the dreamweaver link checker lol.
