Hi,

I am new to this site, and I need to ask a question that I can't seem to figure out. For some reason, every time I change the name servers on my site it seems to pick up quickly.

Now it doesn't, very odd. The name servers it self are responding:
ns1.staticaim.com
ns2.staticaim.com
ns3.staticaim.com
ns4.staticaim.com

Yes they are custom. The domain is not responding though:
www.staticaim.com

If you also need to know the IP of the site is:
67.19.61.173

I've been waiting for about 4 days or so and nothing. If you can help me I would highly appreciate it.

Have you added the nameservers on the DNS server? Is the webserver serving that domain?

I have checked the DNS report for your domain 'staticaim.com' and found that there are no MX records, A records etc exists for this domain. I would advise you to contact your hosting provider for this. They can assist you better to resolve your issue.

I am only able to resolve ns1.staticaim.com to 67.19.61.173. Otherwise nothing related to this domain resolves (ns2/3/4.staticaim.com, staticaim.com, www.staticaim.com etc.). This suggests that ns2/3/4.staticaim.com are probably not registered properly at your domain registrar... Were these nameserver addresses created there (i.e. did you provide your name registrar with each nameserver address together with its corresponding IP address)? When you do this they should add them to the root servers.

Since ns1.staticaim.com resolves this is already added at the root servers. It appears that the others are not.

Besides that, as above your nameservers (e.g. at 67.19.61.173, which is where ns1.staticaim.com resolves to) are not responding to requests. This may mean that your DNS server is offline/firewalled, or it the DNS zone for staticaim.com may not be correctly configured.

You need to correct this and ensure that appropriate records are configured on your DNS servers before you'll have any chance of this working! You can test this immediately from Windows with commands like:
Code:
nslookup staticaim.com ns1.staticaim.com
This means perform a DNS request for the name staticaim.com, ask ns1.staticaim.com instead of the default DNS server configured for the computer (e.g. your ISP's).

You should get a result from this as soon as the DNS server at ns1.staticaim.com is working properly (you could also use an IP address in the command instead of ns1.staticaim.com to rule out any issue resolving ns1.staticaim.com, though in my case this does resolve to 67.19.61.173 as I said).
