i am trying to start portal websites and in that there will be minimum 10k images of the product with its details and will keep on adding few 100's more.
can anyone tell me how much hosting space i will need and which wud be the best hosting provider for my needful ?
i have been into blogging and build small websites a lot but haven't tried with big sites. thats why i am confused and here with my doubt.

and also which will be better. shared or VPN server ? budget is low but will increase if necessary.

better go for a dedicated server, SO that all will be under your control .
for file you can use hotlinking from some other server, it may slow down a little ,

Can't you calculate at your own? I see you have image size and I'm sure you have the estimated number of them so I assume you can calculate that
