hello im michael.im trying to run a site on my computer.im using apache http server and a router.(its written on the router-TNN●SIEMENS SL2-141)
i allowed port 80 on my windows firewall,but it didnt worked.i typed my worldwide IP on my and my friends computer and both didnt worked.my friend tryed port froward-he frowarded port 80 to hes ip and rebooted modem but hes ip canged.wahts the problem?why cant we rum our site?

your ISP probably doesn't allow incoming port 80.

Yep, most isp's block port 80. Why don't you just setup a test server on your local machine, and upload to another web host? A lot less hassle.

So wait, you said he forwared the ip to the modem and then the ip changed? It sounds like you're trying to forward a local IP and the router gave you a new one with its DHCP server, making the port forward not effective..Does this sound like what happened? Try disabling your router firewall.

ummm... pretty difficult what ure telling im a newbie easy man.but probably. and i disabled my router firewall.at leat think i did.are you using autlook or messenger?you may contact me to remote support.i guss you know what is remote support.if you dont,it works like this:im sending you an invation on outlook or messenger,that what it accepts,and you will click on a link.we bouth will get a popup window,and you will see my desktop.you will get a buttons of take control,realese control and some others.once you will ask to take control,i will be asked to click yes.

Either that or you entered the wrong local IP when port forwarding. Go to run and type cmd, then type ipconfig. Make sure you use the IP listed there, when port forwarding.
