I need some help with correct subdomain configuration.

I have domain in godaddy.com zone and on this domain I need to create subdomain and point it to my vps that also situated in godaddy.com (vps linux with simple control panel).

When I am creating new subdomain (CNAM) in godaddy's domain zone i can not point it to ip: the system forbidding to point the subdomains to ip and i should provide dns address.

And here the problem starts. : ))
Inside my vps simple control panel I have created hosting for my new subdomain under Domain menu: 123.mydomain.com.

Now I need to point to this new subdomain from my domain zone, but through the dns address

But cause I can not go directly and point it to usual ip address I need to configure dns correctly in my vps DNS menu.

How I should do it correctly?

What should be the dns servers inside the dns domain zone? (now i have next settings:

Name Servers:
NS57.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS58.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

What should be the subdomain dns settings inside the VPS?
Now i have next dns settings inside vps:

DNS Configuration - Edit Master Zone
Domain Name: 123.mydomain.com
Domain Type: Master

Primary Name Server: ns1.test.ziser.net

Can I somehow point my subdomain to vps without making the VPS fully managing my domain zone?

Some questions may sound stupid, so i am sorry in advance, but i just don't understand all this issues well....

thank you in advance

also attaching the screens for domain zone and vps dns menu

"CNAME" records point to an existing hostname "A" record.

"A" records point to IPs.

so your CNAME record would be: 123 IN CNAME mydomain.com.

Yes, I understand that I should write the 123 (to create 123.mydomain.com) inside new CNAME menu. But inside godaddy's zone you can not point the subdomain to ip address, only to dns address.

Not sure I see the problem?

"A" records point to IPs, If your sub needs pointing to an IP it should be an "A" record NOT a CNAME (Alias).
