Few months back I had sme kernals that need updating on some of our boxes... was having a hard time finding quaity and affordable people to do the work.

Jeff, I am tech-stupid....what exactly are these guys doing for you?

1st thing was the Kernel updates...Server Optimization (helped alot with load times) Host.conf & sysctl hardeningm upgraded our php and a whole list of other things that most boxes need unless you have a server admin managing your box all the time.

They fixed the problem of the php bug which some how allowed a spammer to use our box to send out spam.

Are you able to call on them anytime to fix anything basically? Do they monitor your box all the time?

I have to say - they are on it! I can reach them by aim or cell if I need to, but email works with them. I had a problem at 1 am the other night and they took care of it. I now have them monitoring 24/7 one of our boxes that we have had some Dos attacks -


I had a server guru that used to manage all of our boxes - but he quit to follow his passion of becoming a police officer, so it took me about 6 months to finally find someone that I could trust, and make sure they knew what they were doing.
