I use a lot of free GNU programs, open source, etc, but I'm sorry to say free web hosting is just not for me.
The free host is that they never seem to have the right services I need. Either its a tiny 50megs or 1gig with truckloads of ad and no scripting. Couldn't do much with either case can you?
After finding a decent 300megs with php/mysql, perl no ad I went to their site and found a huge grafti on their home page, wonder how many people signed up, huh? After a bit more search, I found scriptkiddiots are probably free hosts' biggest problem.
So how's your experience?
