How much do you spend on your servers each and every month? (Including any server management plans you have)

I just pay $35 a month for my VPS, manage it myself. It runs all the sites I have at the moment so I'm happy.

That's quite a lot. A friend of mine runs a file hosting site and has a similar number of servers. He pays a lot more though.

For those of you who've owned a VPS and a Dedicated, what's the difference? I can't justify buying a VPS at the moment, since my $20 reseller works just fine, but I'd like to know my options.

A VPS gives you total control over what software you want to install. Things like mod_security and firewalls can help keep hackers out from my experience.

I like having the freedom of doing what I want with my space without having to worry about "max cpu usage" because I'm allowed to burst to the max CPU usage.
