Hmm, what do you mean? You mean like a website that will download all of your content?

One way to do this is with a simple cron job that you can set up from cpanel.

Another way is the use rsync. It works by comparing the difference so that there is less traffic.

Make sense if you have alot of data to backup and most of them don't change much, like images.

Actually I am looking to find a rysnc backup service provider, anyone know of such service?

www.bqbackup.com - I use them myself and love their service. Very fast and support is awesome, auto back-ups are done each night at 3am.

I'd highly recommend looking into them!

Requires that you have an FTP server set up on your home system so that you can download them right to your home computer. Or you can send them to another host.

It should also be mentioned that rsync is for file backups, not databases.

Check out http://www.carbonite.com/ - it's inexpensive, and has gotten great feedback, though I am not a customer myself.

I saw somewhere a tool which allows a gmail account to be used as file storage.

A cron job would allow the dumping of the database, zipping of the file, and sending it appropriately marked to gmail.

I think this was the one http://pgd.sourceforge.net/
