Okay, I need an FTP that fits one of the below categories.

1) Is free. No trial versions.

2) Online FTP that has the same benefits of a regular FTP client.

You mean a FTP client?

If so, use FileZilla, it's a good free one.

Are you only looking for an online ftp client? Not really sure I understand your question. I use smart ftp as a desktop ftp client

I'd suggest droping some cash for a decent FTP client, CuteFTP has been my fave for a looong time now.

Another vote for Filezilla from me. Its pretty good - I've been using it without problems for years.

Give it a try before spending money on something liek CuteFTP - its only a small download.

Try WinSCP or SmartFTP.

Both are really good, I'd recommend them.

I use SmartFTP, although I don't really need FTP on my sites

I don't code or anything like that :-P

I would definitely recommend FileZilla. It's a fast and easy FTP client to use. It has a great interface, and yes it's FREE. You can do everything that you can do with a paid FTP client. Mass upload, move files, rename, CHMOD, etc. Download link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla.

I like FileZilla because it's fast and takes very little time to set up the website, but if you're looking for eye candy, go with something else.

I agree. This is one of the few programs I've actually purchased after trying... it's by far the best and easiest to use FTP program out of the box. I can't stand any of the free ones. Too confusing... :glare:

I would say Smart FTP and you can get it from www.download.com easily and about online FTP... you can just put like ftp://your_adressname and then it will ask you for username and pass and you are good to go even from any places like motel or anythin hehe
