Host Gator is one of the more popular companies as of late. They have great service which is something most companies are lacking.

this might be an insider tip but I'am very happy with the German based company hetzner.de (they have a English page). They have some of the cheapest prices from what I could figure out, a fast connection, great hardware specs and unlimited traffic.

Been using them for 9 months and had zero problems so far. I pay 59 Euros a month for a dedicated rootserver with 2 GB of ram, 2x 160 SATA drives, Athlon 64+ 3700 cpu and more goodies :P

And no, I'am not affiliated with them, just a happy customer..

I used JaguarPC.com for shared hosting for years. I use LayeredTech and 800Hosting for my dedicated boxes now.

I just have a decent sized reseller with Elite Hosts.

They have some decent reviews even though I think they're fairly new. Plus they offer a free ipod after 3 months of service.
