The domain name and hosting it are two separate things.
There's no need for you to host your domain with the same company that you register it with... many will actually advise that you avoid this because it can cause problems if you have a dispute with your hosting provider. The extent of the possible problems will depend on the domain you've registered (e.g. .uk domains can be easily moved/reclaimed via Nominet; and it's against Nominet's terms for registrars to with-hold a domain from transfer...).
.uk.com domains are expensive - there's no avoiding that. We don't currently offer this domain type as to be honest very few want it, but we could (and for less than £50/year!) if someone asked for it.
If you're just talking about the hosting service, then there's no special requirement for hosting .uk.com domains - any hosting provider should be able to help with that.
£50/year for hosting isn't expensive... although it depends what you're getting for it in terms of features/resources/quality of course.
What do you need?
