Hi bol585,

Read the rules. Affiliate URLs are not allowed; crossposting is forbidden; and spamming is the worst. GetFreeDomain.biz is a cheap program that won't ever pay you. It also has nothing to do with free webhosting. I warn everyone AGAINST this scam. They will not give you anything.

I haven't tried them, so I really don't know if it's a scam. Anyone tried them and not done well?

Their rules say that a domain name and the host is free for one year. All you have to do is earn 100 points to start using their service. And do that every year to maintain it.
Quote:
Question how much does it cost to maintain the domain after one year? Answer You can earn another 100 points if you want to get the domain and webhosting free for next year. However, if you wish to pay, it will cost you 1- Domain Name 8.99 US$ /year. 2- Webhosting 2.0 $ /month
That's for 5 meg of space and 200 meg bandwidth.

Dave

5 meg space 200mb bandwith? that is pretty...can i say crappy here? pretty crappy.
although, it would probably suit personal sites and small-venture sites, if you were getting under say 2000 visits per month you'd be okay.

Hi Dave,

I know at least 10 people that have used GetFreeDomain.biz and have reached 100 points, and not a single one of them has received their domain (some have waited a few months already!). So it might not be a scam, but it sure sounds like one!

sounds pretty scammy to me. i know a few people who have used namezero.com effectively. thats free for a year, but theres a !"£$%^ huge frame at the bottom of your site that permanently displays adds, so its not recommended. theres plenty of low-cost domains about though. if you want, i could sort you out a custom package. say...domain, 20mb space, pretty much all the trimmings for about £20 a year. if you're interested, drop me a line from here and i'll see what i can do

just cause i'm such a nice guy
