I've been looking for a web host for two days now. Can't seem to find one that fits my demands. Can someone please help me. When I find a good host it always has a upload filesize limit. I'm not going to upload something illegal.

demands:

free
Space 100 or more
no filesize limit or at least allow me to upload files around 10 meg
ftp upload

there does not exist any hosting company which allows this. unless you are starting one.

i think you better change your demands.

btw why do u need to store 10meg files ..

Hi Hop Sing,

I think you should give up on your quest for a free host that allows a file size of at least 10 MB. The highest I have seen around is 7 MB (and that's only with a special upload system). 9cy.com used to offer free hosting with 500 MB space and a 10 MB file size limit, but they have cut that down to 100 MB and a 1 MB file size limit. I know host.sk has a 3 MB file size limit, but they aren't accepting sign-ups. Your only option is to go with www.come2store.com . They are not a free webhost, but rather a file storage host. You can host your files there (10 MB file size limit), and host your site elsewhere. They have a very tough policy on warez, and they use an interstital download page full of pop-ups, in order to make money off each download.

What are you planning to store anyway? Don't you even know how to split or compress a file?

I need to store maps for my Day of Defeat game server, so people can download the maps running on the server. The filesize of the maps are around 7 meg. Yesterday I found a host and it worked out just fine. www.tripod.spray.se
a Swedish site, why did I searched the whole web when I could find one at home. It is only 50 meg of space, but I'll manage.

Thanks for the tip about come2store. I can use that for some extra space if 50 meg is not enough.

Oops, I went looking and forgot to say welcome.

Hi Hop Sing, Welcome to Webmaster-Talk! Hope you enjoy it here.

Another gamer......are you a map maker? For what games?

I should mention, that Webmaster-Talk's partner, Tech Forums , has a large game section.
