If your site is fairly established, its more than likely you want at least a VPS plan to have enough server resources available. You may even get away with shared hosting with some hosts, it depends on how overloaded the servers might be, but i have seen lots of proxy sites run on shared no problem, the servers just aren't watered down with hundreds of accounts.
