Nice affiliate link mate.
Truly a low down and dirty way to try and make money. Post reported.

Quote:
1. No spamming or Affiliate Links.
Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty posts, posts with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion. Affiliate links give posters an unfair advantage over others. As well, affiliate links may lead to false representation simply in the effort to gain a lead or referral. Therefore, Affiliate links will be modified or deleted.

Yes it's low down because you're making money off of giving someone a review. It's an ethics issue and a forum rules issue as well.

You're going to let one comment bother you that much?

Casey, it is usually considered a "low" way to make money by advertising affiliate links on forums, since it is normally Spam. It may not have been intentional on your behalf, but it's still not allowed. Crazy Tech has posted his opinion of your post; I might have stated mine differently.

I usually sign up as an affiliate for something that I find beneficial, but the affiliate can't be posted on most forums. So, if I tell others about it, it must be without my link.

Your choice on whether you post again or not. Just follow the rules and you're welcome to post.

Well don't let my bluntness scare you away. I'm not going to apologize for what I said because wrong is wrong and I did not say that you were low down, it's just a low down way to make money. It's pretty much like advertising your own company because you'll profit from it.

As DMo said don't let one person scare you away, I'm not a troller or anything, it's just I happen to have a big dislike for spammers in this industry because I get to see a fair share of them.

Your post probably was unintentional, but rules are also rules and should be at least scanned through.
