hi,

I have 2 web sites and I need to leave my 3.95/month hosting company.
I believe in -you get what you pay- The 3.95 hosting company waisted me so much time that I don't want to deal with them anymore...

What I am looking for:
excellent support.
Shared hosting with the basic features.
option to upgrade to a dedicates server
toll free support number
price is not an issue ( I will pay even 20$ for a good basic hosting)

Thanks!

Try taking a look in the ads & offers forum here. There are a number of hosting offers being posted all the time.

Another good place to look and find reviews is findmyhosting.com. You want to find actuall customer reviews for any company you are considering.

I would recommend that you try a company that has been around for a while. I've used http://www.ez1web.com and http://www.ipowerweb.com. Both have given me solid delivery and virtually no downtime. Ez1 also takes tech support calls from my clients for basic help, which is a nice feature if you have several customers who call you for hand-holding support.

Still, there are legions of solid companies.

I have researched many host sites and found BuleHost to be the most legitimate.
For a 24 month program, it was by far the most competitive and they have a great support team. I can only praise them for the work with my site and the help they provided during the process.

I've been happy with http://hostingdepartment.net/
They've had 100% uptime for the last six months and super fast support.
I've also heard good things about http://www.bluehost.com they offer 24/7 support and they've been around since 1996. I couldn't find any information about their uptime though.

Heya,

I would suggest that maybe you should search in a few more web hosting directories, Maybe give www.hostsearch.com or www.hostbyte.com a go and see if they can help you.

Good Luck with your search

Before buying, it's good to look for feedback on the host you're considering in forums like webhostingtalk.com, hosthideout.com, webhostingchat.com etc.

ipowerweb.com listed #1 for price, features and support - I have a dedicated server with them because they were listed as #1, and they are good.

I host with powweb.com (they were listed 3rd on the top 10) also very good all the way around.

I forget who was in the middle - oh well. With these two you can't go wrong. They are both Linux/Unix platforms.

Ipowerweb is great for shared accounts. Avoid them for dedicated servers though.
