What do you think about this extra cheap webhosting company
with servers in Deutschland.
I thing that is very laggy
They give you lol 510GB Bandwith for 7.95$
I think that this is impossible, but have friend
that told me that this company is perfect for his business.

Sounds like a lot of overselling, but as long as they can keep everything working...

They could just offer 'unlimited' bandwith, in my opinion it would just be the same. What if a consumer really tries to use all that bandwith, i wonder what it will happen with his account

Servage.net is quite well known for their overselling policy. However, I haven't hear a lot of complaints thus far so they should be quite value for money especially when you are not running too many websites.

Overselling is quite common in hosting. Servage sounds like they do a lot more of it than usual, but as long as they pay attention to what's going on with their servers it's ok.

Especially when they are running their servers as a cluster. That's why they can afford to offer more diskspace and bandiwdth.

I have a servage account and im not very impressed...
well, I switched from hostgator to servage because of the price and space.
The first ting I had trouble with was adding new domains and making subdomains work. I found the admin panel kind of confusing. (I really miss cPanel)
But then again, the uptime is great and so is the space and bandwidth.
But I'd rather have back my hostgator account.

Forgoing cPanel kept prices down for them but since uptime and bandwidth are fine, it makes Servage.net a real threat to many other smaller webhosts. I haven't heard much comments and feedback on their customer service though. If that is good as well, Servage.net will be staying up there for quite a while.

So far, most that I've heard of them are pretty good testimonials. I don't think overselling is a huge problem so long they can manage it well.

The number of positive reports can really come as a surprise considering their prices. I guess they know what they're doing after all.

If you have a site that uses the "500 GB bandwith" that they offer they will close your account!!!!!
I had two account at servage, and they said that there was to much load on the server etc... The said that they could not host me, even though I only used the 17 GB / day that I was assigned....
And they said that I would get my money back after the closed my account but I have not seen a coin from them!!!
So if you only use 5 GB a day, servage is okay but If you use want you pair for your account will be closed!!!!

That's the biggest error made by customers of hostingcompanies. It's not the space, it's not the bandwidth but it's the serverresources that limit you. The server can be fast as hell, but if you overuse the server for a too long time you just get suspended because you might be blocking 50 other websites.... I'm also hosted @ servage and I'm satisfied with them.

Servage is the worst. I'm from India and went for it 'cause my friend suggested. If the site doesnt generate lots of hits then are ok. For 6 months I was working on the site they were very kind then when I launched the site the first day I got 2,40,000 hits and by evening they had suspended the a/c. Can u imagine that? The bandwidth was well within limits and so was the space. I was told some crap about PHP load.
I managed to keep the hits within 2,00,000 since then but today within 2 weeks they suspended the domain itself & are asking me to go for a new one. Now they say CPU load. Everytime they come up with some new technical term to justify their incompetency.
They dont even bother to email or reply when the site is down. Neither do they suggest ways to reduce the so called load.
I lost my online business and customers due to them.
Is there a place where we can complain the fraud & shut them down forever?

servage is the best.
i dont know why there are many negative comments aabout them. im getting arnd 400 uniques a day avg and my daily transfer is weel above 10 Gb a day. i have attached the pic showing my transfer.
as u can see my site exceeded the 17 Gb limit for two days. still i didnt have any mail from there saying suspended or anything(ofourse the site was disabled for the rest of the day as they have said in their TOS)
i give files for download and the speed is great and never had any probs with them.
its the best host i have ever seen.

That's nice. They probably don't have things setup at exactly 17GB, so that small overusage wouldn't render websites unavailable. I'm sure they do have a limit close enough to it though.
Still, very nice of them to set things up this way.
