Dear all,
I have few issues to clarify regarding a web hosting. Please advise me on those.
1.) What is mean by sub domains? I saw some companies allowing unlimited sub domains and just wondered about that.

2.) What is domain parking ?
3.) I'm planning to register a domain from Godaddy ( Any suggestions) and host the site some where. I already have two sites in 50webs,com which is free hosting site. How can I link the domain I registered with Go daddy with it?
Please help me to get those clarified.
Any suggestions for any other low cost hosting sites?
Thanks in advance!!

1. If your domain name is www.bob.com then a sub domain is say www.hello.bob.com or www.web.bob.com

2. Domain parking is just a holding page for a un-used name, so normally the isp/host will put up a holding page or any other page.

3. too many to list

Hope this helps

GoDaddy is a good place to buy domains. If you mean how can you point the new domain to your free sites? there is an option in GoDaddy for that.

Hi tango,

Your subdomains question has already been answered.

Domain parking is when you "park" your domain onto another domain. It doesn't have email or it's own website, it just brings you to whatever domain it is parked on.

Godaddy is ok for domains. Most free hosts won't allow you to use a reall domain with your account, so you'd have to setup a domain forwarder at godaddy. This way, when somebody visits www.yourdomain.com, they will automaticly get forwarded to your free hosting site address.

I hope all your questions have been answered.
