Unfortunately such numbers say nothing about how loaded a server is. It could very well say 2000+ and the server still be fast, if the sites are small, with little traffic.
As it is though, if your friend is complaining about slowness, the server might be overcrowded -- unless there is a connection problem between you/your friends computer and the server.
Dan, the site's slow for me as well. Usually I can ping sites and get somewhere around 40-50; for this I got 89 ms. I visited the site and it is indeed very slow. I'd take a wild guess and say they're packing the server to the absolute max (and then some).

im gettin 53kbps transfer when i get from 800kbps-2mbps from other sites thats the slowest ive ever seen and its always like that. this is a winsave site which is the same as hostsave both from affinity.
any more replys as to why?

just checked at 1:30am and its around 68-70kb/s wow! thats fast i might be able to DL a 8mb clip by the time i DL 101mb program from........lol!
This is quite true. The site loaded fine for me both before during and after downloading a video.
