What are the main things you want to have in a hosting package? Apart from features like disk space,bandwidth transfer, database ,good support etc. what things you would like to have. If any extra features, what will be they?

Unlimited MySQL
No restrictions (ie Cant host banner exchange etc etc)
AWStats
CPanel
Fantastico

I think web hosting companies should also provide for 24/7 tech support, 24/7 live chat, 24/7 phone support. IMO, hosting companies should offer 30 days free trial or money back guarantee, you should utilize this service to judge their capability and reliability. I would recommend don't go for unlimited bandwidth, instead you should fix up bandwidth to avoid conflict if any.

Awstats is a must, i also would like to to have the 'update now' feature.

awstats is a good feature to have, my host doesnt have it however, analog and webalizer just dont come close

I used to have Analog and Webaliser, then I downloaded AWStats, configured it and uploaded it to my webspace. My host hasnt said anything, and my account is (probably) one of the only ones on the server that has it installed.

Now I have AWStats installed, I couldnt live without it!

Bandwidth and uptime is the most important for me.

For reseller hosting I would like end user support. As a one man show it would be too much of a strain to attempt to be online 18+ hours per day and sleep in half an hour batches.

Sure, if I would start things with a partner or two, end user support would be less important, or even totally unimportant.
