I've allowed for it being a manual versus auto issue, but to avoid any problems I gave them a few weeks notice of cancellation so they had ample time to get their accounts in order. It just seems like another one of the endless places that capture our credit card / whatever debit authority and go off the air when we want to cancel it.
I'm not worried about the money: US$2.97 (which is what I agreed to pay) a month x 2 sites ain't going to bankrupt me.
I'm not worried about chargebacks with PayPal, nor really that wound up about stopping future payments so far as the money is concerned. Maybe that's what places like this trade on.
I just object to places that get you signed up in nanoseconds but never seem to be able to cancel the debit on your credit card / PayPal / bank account etc. In short, I don't like being ripped off.
If I actually get a sensible reply from PayPal I'll rush out into the street naked yelling out to my neighbours to sign up for PayPal, but I'm pretty sure my neighbours won't have to confront that particular nightmare. Then again, that's just the jaundiced view of a long time eBay seller and PayPal user.
