first of all the servers down time has purely been the fault of the colocation company hosting the servers, they "accidentally" deleted and decommissioned the hosting server (including wiping the hard disk).
for all those skeptics, the servers were quad 2.8GHz Xeon CPUs on an OC12 line. although you may not believe that a host can offer unlimited anything, would you really use unlimited everything? the answer is no! Almost all the accounts on the server were using less than 50mb of disk space each, and barely reaching 1GB of transfer a month... should someone want to use more then thats fine, we would increase the disk space on the server
unfortunately now, due to further events happening outside of killerbyte hosting, the company will be handed over to new hands.
Just thought I should answer a few of your questions, its not always a case of you get what you pay for, but if you want to pay more you can still be choosing a host with poor service or anything else you can think of...
