I can't believe I didn't put this here. I use Page-Zone for the majority of my hosting needs.

I have a reseller account there with my own WHM panel so I can host my current domains (21) and any future domains I purchase.

I also have a cpanel for each account. It is really great. The support, uptime, server speed, everything is excellent which is good as I am tired of moving.

The only thing is high volume of outgoing emails is a problem. Like if you have a safelist or a paid to read email website.

Since I own some safelists I also use another host:
Lucidity Hosting

They are a bit more expensive but can handle huge, and I mean huge, email volumes going out from the server.

So as far as personal experience goes those are my two best.

Page-Zone looks interesting. I was looking for a service which offered that sort of price. I was just wondering how long you had been with them?

If you can live without the control panel per domain, this can be achieved on any host which offers static IPs and has mod_rewrite installed (most offer these features).

If the static IP costs say, $2.50 a month more than a basic account, you can do the same thing on a regular style host (for perhaps $10.00 - 12.50, much less if you pick what I call a "bucket host" (pile em high, sell em cheap).

The way forward is to learn a little about mod_rewrite and put the rules to use a sub-folder of wwwroot into your .htaccess file.

Basically, you're paying about $7.50 - 10.00 for a control panel per domain, which is still good value - those that can do it themselves will often work out a cheaper way!

I could live without it but I don't want to. Moving to page-zone gave me my first experience ever with control panel. I love it and will never go back...

Yeah, CPanel does rock teh panel wurld Those are some pretty decent reseller prices...
Although they must be using an old version of CPanel...I have most of those features listed on the "deluxe" CPanel side-by-side comparison on my virtual account at another host :-/
I wonder, though, if they provide IP addresses and anonymous name servers? I found a pretty decent looking company that provides 2 IP addresses in a standard reseller account for $30/month with 2.5 GB space and 25GB bandwidth, PLUS they're Hosting Assured...

Yes to the servers. If you are a reseller no one will know you are going through page-zone.

As for the IP, I think so but I think that costs extra. It is something I have never used.

This will allow you to point a domain to a subfolder using Apache directives, which is nice sometimes, but it does not make allowances for other services, such as email, stats, etc. As you said, if you can live with only viewing the website, this will do fine. I did not know that it required a dedicated IP.

We, as Drachewyn does, use WHM to park and point domains to particular subfolders. Easy as clicking a button.

Just wondering if you could check something for me, Drache. Using WHM/CPanel, if I had a domain account, then pointed 9 extra domains to that account (parked them), what would happen to the e-mail for the extra domains. Would it simply go into the main mailbox or could I have separate POP accounts for each domain.

This account could be perfect for me!

Just checked the docs and there seems to be the option for each parked domain to modify their own email, so that's a good sign!

That I am not really sure on as each domain has a seperate account for me.

I know that when I set up one domain it has it's own email etc. and I can create emails plus set up a default email to handle unrouted email.

I am also not really sure why you would want to point 9 domains to just one account...?

I have more than 20 domains and each has their own cpanel independant of the others.

If I took 9 of them and put them all towards one account, assuming I could which I don't know as I could, it would I think only record the domain of one...

I think to answer that question your best bet would be to contact page-zone by email and ask them.

It is a situation I have never encountered before...

I'm not Drache, but maybe I can answer. I hope you do not mind.

If all nine domains were parked on the main domain, the email to those domains would be forwarded to the default email account for the main domain, unless you set up forwarders.

Now, as far as the email option for parked domains, yes, this can be set up so that each domain has its own email address, but this has to be set up through your host in WHM. It can be activated in the "Modify Account" function in WHM.
