You may want to consider a managed VPS with a control panel like Cpanel/WHM, you can get one that should meet your needs for around $30 - $40/month.

Actually, if you base this on the "unlimited" that everybody offers, you'll be surprised. 100k visitors a day might mean 1M page views, and with that there will be quite significant CPU and memory usage, or, at the very least, hard disk activity. You'll not get anywhere neat that, and your shared hosting provider will suspend your account for one of the reasons I mentioned.

Personally, I doubt that an out of the box $40 managed VPS is cut out for 100k visitors per day. You can get started on one of these though, keep an eye on your usage levels, and upgrade as needed.

Why not just get your own dedicated server for the company? That would probably be the safest way to go

The thing is; How do you know that you are going to be at the 100K per day and more importantly, what kind of pages are going to be serving.

Serving simple text files, which is what .htm(l) files are, direct from the server HD takes up very little CPU time or memory resources. It is only if a scripting language and database requests are being used that resource limits become a concern.

Just knowing the estimated traffic numbers is in no way sufficient for anyone to work out what hardware and resources are required, unless or course they have a vested interest in "upselling" a solution.

A vps server will probably sustain you for quite awhile. intovps is a good vps provider.

You can always upgrade the server in the future.

What kind of website you planning to built ? PHP MySQL or ASP MSSQL

Do you have any idea on total size of files and database?

You'll need to elaborate more in order to provide best possible solution.

That many visitors and that many files? You are looking at a solid mid-end to high end VPS. Try Linux first since it will be cheaper. If you need Windows, there is always that option.

I personally get my VPS as a custom plan and you might want to consider it too. It gives you pricing based on what you ONLY need.

Starting from high end vps or low end dedicated is what I would recommend as it will save your website from going out of resources and by analyzing the resource consumption you can adjust your future required resources accordingly.

Not much to go on here, and like everyone else asked, what kind of site are you going to have?

Other than our clients with regular html pages and that amount of traffic we've got the clients on managed dedicated servers.

And how many accounts to you intend to have on the server ? Would a 100k visitors be all the traffic or would that be for each account ?

You posted maximum usage. I'd start off with something small during development - unless you're doing dev on a local server - and continue to upgrade as you move forward. The key things you're interested in are flexibility, and personal customer support. You want a host that will keep a close eye on your usage and recommend you services moving forward.

It's a new project, don't rush into things. Start with the basics - like you would with anything else - and move forward. If you don't require full access to a server then a VPS or a dedicated box should be out of the question at this point.

Since VPS has had much better uptime, is much faster, and gives you much more freedom, since you can install any panel you, it will be the best solution.
