grrr im having trouble with phpAds

ok well long story short. i have my own server set up and i just got how to install phpAdsNew.

I had to create teh tables manually with phpmyadmin. well anyways...now i point my web browser to http://localhost/phpAdsNew/index.php

and a log in screen comes up. I dont know the user name and password but i tried to edit the config files to:

Username: admin
password: hello

turns out it doesnt work, it keeps telling me i have forbidden access. anyone please help!

I had this same problem. Try using phpMyAdmin find the users table and look for the username and password you will need to edit one of them but I forget wich one(I think its the username).

hmmm ok im in phpMyAdmin

i see no user tables.

all i see is:

phpads
phpads_acls
phpads_adclicks
phpads_adstats
phpads_adviews
phpads_banners
phpads_clients
phpads_session
phpads_zones

??????

sorry I was lazy and didnt want to look for it.

its in this table

phpads_config

look for "admin" and "admin_pw" and change them to what you want

oooooo i have an idea.

ok in the folder phpadsnew there should be a file called all.sql

ie:
phpAdsNew/all.sql

open up that file and please copy the entire file and paste onto here. or send me a PM. thx

nevermind i got it

i just downloaded phpAdsNew beta 7.0 and it worked

phpAdsNew is outstanding.

heh now it tells me a nice CGI error when i try opening it. nevermind though, when im not lazy ill fix it
