The tech support of this company is horrible. If you're thinking about signing up for iPowerweb - my advice is STAY AWAY!

Anyway, here's my problem that I've been trying to get solved for two weeks now.

When I send mail using webmail, the Return Path is set to <anonymous@host###.ipowerweb.com> instead of my e-mail address <me@mydomain.com>. Because of this, I don't get any bouncebacks or delivery failure notifications, which are sent back to the return path.

The tech support guy I just talked to said that this was done on purpose to prevent spam. When I pointed out that it was an unacceptable side effect for users not to get bouncebacks, he disagreed with me.

I agree, that doesn't seem right to me. But that's iPowerWeb's descision and there probably isn't much you can do. Unless there are enough people complaining about it.

iPower webmail has another major problem they can't fix - it sometimes 'forgets' all of the mail stored in the inbox while the webmail client is in use. I lost a lot of mail that way. iPower's attitude was: "Tough luck, we don't know how to fix it and we can't retrieve your mail our system just deleted." Not nice. Last month we - after being clients with accounts for five years - started cancelling accounts. We were unable to get email at all, except for a few hours every second day, after talking to their tech support ever single day. Every day we were on hold for an hour. Every day they would promise to fix it, every day or two, we would would then get email for a few hours. This went on for two weeks - and that after two months of serious email trouble. We have given up. A lousy company that does not care, nor does it even admit it is in the wrong or the damage it has done.

Bye, bye, iPower!

Well now, if they have a backup system (which any host that respects itself has) then they could retrieve some of your emails from there.
