Maximum traffic at shared server ?

I want to know how traffic i can put on a server with a shared hosting. I have 3 wordpress websites and i want to put them all at the same hosting pack.
I have about 5000 users / day in total. My question is: a shared hosting will permit this daily traffic ?
I ask that because many hostings offer "unlimited" packs, but i read that many clients have the hosting suspended because they have a lot of traffic.
Could you recommend me a good hosting which permit some type of traffic. I read some reviews about : fatcow, dreamhost, bluehost, lunar pages and hostmonster.

Right, almost all hosting companies would offer umlimited packs but only one indicator they would not show, it is the 'CPU time'. On a sharing server, it is usually very low, about 3-5%. If you overrun, site would be disable from accessing for several minutes or hours, it all depends.
So, if you have a lot traffic, you might want to choose VPS instead.
Wish this help,

Ok. I understand. I want to know just if this number of visitors (5000/day) can increase CPU time beyond these percents.
I find a lot of customers which tell that they lost their sites because the hosting companies deletes the files too... with all content . I don't want to have similar problems...

No body can tell you on the (lack of) information you have given.
5000 visitor per day may sound impressive but it is totally meaningless in terms of server resources etc.

I have 3 Wordpress websites well configured, with few small photos (200 x 300 pixels), permalinks and fixed url's.

Sure still means nothing.
Not every visitor/user will download everything at each visit, many items are cached by browsers and reused locally, SE bots for example only take the source code (probably a few K) each time.
Worpress in a standard config (no custom coding etc) is not very heavy on server resources.
The thing to do is use whatever hosting control panel you have and monitor the reported resources used (CPU, bandwidth, data allowance, etc) on a daily basis so you can make predictions or analyse what is actually being used.
Access log analysis will tell you what data is being used by visitors and average load per visitor.
Use the tools you have available rather than guessing at things.

I believe that depends on the kind of the web hosting accounts you are using

I talk about "unlimited" shared hostings offered by almost all hosting providers at 3,5-7 USD / month...

Might not be much of an issue, even with budget shared hosting, especially if you will use the supercache plugin.

Bluehost and Hostmonster are the same company really.
I can't say I've been too impressed with any of the hosts you mentioned. If I were to choose out of those, and those alone, it would probably be Lunarpages due to the fact that the server is a lot less loaded.

Based on the information you've given I'd say that a shared hosting account should be fine for you. Periodically check your websites stats, and as you notice them getting alot of traffic and/or you begin to generate more income from them you can consider upgrading.

Whatever you think all will depend on the web hosting company you are with
In any case that is recommended have everything discussed beforehand

They`ll won`t let you to host a such a big site at a shared account because you need to have min. 2.500 UQ and they will need lots of bandwidth. You should produce profit from that traffic so I think buying a VPS is not a problem for you.

i am not sure, but i think it doent matter with the number if blog you build, just according to the performance of your hosting, and i dont think they will tell you the specific date about traffic.

Server load time and downtime will tell you that your site has reached the upper bandwidth limit. However if the server is connected to 100 Gbs port this will hardly happen, sooner you will run out of CPU.

If your average page weights lets say 30k with images and you have 5k visitors daily and every visitor visits lets say 5 pages then your daily BW usage will be 5k*5*30k = 750Mb, or about 20Gb monthly. This amount is quite affordable for most shared hostings but you better ensure it is directly said somewhere in TOS or hosting plan details.
