i have hosting with fatcow and since day 1 my website lag so much.
sometimes when i type in my url and hit enter, it will take a good 20-30 seconds for the site to even show up.

i created multiple support tickets and they claim "its fine from our end".

but i have tested it at school as well and it does do this. BOTH of my websites in my signature.

can you guys test them out? let me know if its a little slow.

is it my host? or there something i can fix?

I joined tech4talk last night, and was on the forum last night as well as this morning and I didnt have any problems from either home nor work. footfive seems to load a little slow, however I am behind a LOVELY proxy here at work lol. What host are you with?

same here. it's not incredibly slow. after the first load, everything seems to work fine.

my websites load so **** slow.

Based on my experience with fatcow, yes, applications run significantly slower than they do at other hosts.

Hi boxiom,

Can you please let us know which hosting package you have with them? May be your current hosting package does not have enough resources for your website.

That's because the web site is cached... clear you cache, load again, it'll load slow again....

I believe you need to ask people to try to access that from the different locations
The issue can be on the side of the your ISP

What is your web site URL? I can try to load that from here

In my opinion this company didn't offer proper hosting services.

The sites are slow in Canada as well
I suppose they are the problems related to your web hosting service provider...

Here also slow, I thing this issue may be from his side bcz both r dynamic sites may be some script or DB cause make the site slow...If the hosts says no problem from their side means he has to double check the site

I have them slow on my side as well. That is the problem conected to your web host - no doubts

Go on to google and search for spider emulator , what this does is shows you how a search engine see;s your website ,it also shows you stats such as web host speed , and how big your actual page is

both are loading a little slow for me. if your provider was testing from within their own network they wouldn't notice the problem. A good resource to check the latency from various places around the world is traceroute.org.

loads fine for me....

It wasn't that slow with me either with tech4talk.. but the footfivedesign was a bit slower. It sort of took me about 10seconds (still not that too slow in my opinion)..

This isn't acceptable for me. I need it to be running smoothly.

i created a new homepage out of pure html/css/images. if you click the "contact us" or "about" link, it loads LIGHTNING fast. the forum, footfive, are both scripts in the database, those are the ones going slow.

so we know its a database problem.
what i DID notice is I had 13 databases created and I only use a few. could that be a problem?

Kindly contact your hosting provider to assign the dedicated application pool to your site and have a try.

Assuming of course that the sites are hosted on a windows server!!!!
