I registered my domain name with Godaddy but I'm hosting my site with another company. What do I change/add so people can go to my site?

Thanks!

sorry I'm a newbie.

Make sure that you have the nameservers pointed correctly definitely.

Login to your Godaddy domain manager and switch the DNS to your host's DNS - that's it.

Yes, you only need to change the Nameservers to point to the nameservers your host gave you.

Nameservers might change up to 72 hours. So be aware

With some web hosting companies that would be enough to change A records for that domain name

Are you using a preset Script or a custom one? If you're using your own, I'd look for something that measures session length (you might have to build it yourself) and record it to your DB.

If you're using a preset script (like Drupal, Joomla, etc) then you may want to look into a module or plugin that will do it for you.
