Need some help

Hi!
I am looking for completely managed dedicated server solution and I found a suitable deal at hostv, offering a fully management with many features included server for three hundred bucks a month, but being not very experienced in the area of managed dedis, and not having dedi deals al all for the long time I seem to be downgraded to know the market situation, and thus I need your points about the reasonability of the deal.
So how do you think is there any possibility to find something better nowadays? Note that not the price matters, but its reasonability to the offered specs.
Thank you.

If you search and do your best I believe you always will be able find better. Other question: do you really need that?

From my experience, getting a managed server won't get your site run any faster. If you're willing to spend $300/mo, then, I'd recommend getting 2 unmanaged servers and use them to load balancing your site. Also use RAID for the hard drives. You'll get much faster performance.

have you tried to compare them with others? I suppose that is the best way to understand if price right or not

To be really honest, i would like to know the server configuration that has been offered by the hosting company. Perhaps, you can have a better deal elsewhere. I know my words are not in relation to management of the server, however it will give us a better idea.
Also, there are many points that can be looked into while selecting a managed service.

I am not completely sure in satisfactory offer, but it seems kodohost, is offering almost the same as the named provider but almost twice cheaper, giving wider possibilities of the choise.

Price differences are seen everywhere for the same server configuration. So, that's definitely not the concern.

I suggest you to widen the round of your search and then compare all the offers and choose the best one. As for recommendation, have a look at Linux and Windows dedicated server plans offered by neowebspace.com.
They will give you management valued at over $100 for FREE.

Fast and cheap servers can be get from webcs.com, this company offer them on Linux and Windows platforms, they are fully-managed and self-managed.
They are good to have deals with due to their stabulity and reliablity in delivering dedicated servers.
