I'm looking for a file hosting service with great download speed. The host our site uses is decent, but we've got several largish (20-70MB) videos (FLV) that sometimes stream at a crawl. We'd like to host just the videos on a faster server, without switching the entire site over. We don't necessarily need a free service, but would like to avoid the expense of a dedicated server. We don't want to use YouTube because we don't want the videos public.

Any suggestions?

So you need to store the files on the web hosting account or you are planning to stream them?

I assume the dedicated server should be fine for this. Dual core with 1GB RAM. Actually that is not rare dedicated server offer and you can do the search and find out more information

Oh if it for file streaming need high bandwidth... it will cost more.. any how check on liquidweb

I'd recommend using Amazon s3 to host your video files.

What for? Do you need to share files? Or what do you need that for?

My Suggestion would be Virtual Private Server. I believe you are currently hosted on a shared hosting solution and that's the reason you don't receive what you need.

That is the best option seems to be although he needs file hostiting which might be found cheaper

True enough.

file hosting can't be used for the file sharing in any way

I think web hostgator service would be fit for you,and you will have to pay anormal fees of 10 dollars a month.

I would suggest that you look into more options.

I assume they will not allow that at all on their servers

Think file hosting can be get from glowhost company.
Check out their services and you will find what you need from them at modest rates.
