This is driving me crazy... my new site is brentonstrine.com. Every once in a while when I try to go there, it doesn't display the webpage, but instead displays something like the save dialog that says:

You have chosen to open


which is a: application/x-httpd-php
from: http://www.brentonstrine.com

What should Firefox do with this file?
[open] [save]

I can not figure it out. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not! It seems the problem may be tied to firefox somehow, as I have not had this problem in other browsers. I think it may also be tied to the www subdomain, since it was working without www, but would try to download when I put in www. And now, of course, it seems to be redirecting www requests to non-www. Is my host possessed?? What is going on?

(Also, please let me know if you experience the same behavior, because it comes and goes and I'm starting to think I'm just imagining it or I'm going insane.)

These could be problems with the hosting settings. Have you checked these questions with the hosting company directly? What was their answer?

What do you have in your .htaccess file?

This occurs when httpd failed during the render process of the requested page. Consult your hosting company and instruct them to find problems and fix.

Have you found the origin of the problem?

May be this issue from port... Only the hosting company support team can solve the problem

That is the issue you need to work in help with your web hosting provider only. All the statements here are the guesses and on some of them you will not be able to work in help with your web hosting provider

Have you tried open that using other browsers? Perhaps that is an issue of the web browser not of the web hosting

It's not a browser issue. As stated previously in the post, it's a server issue that only the hosting company can fix. If it happens alot and the hosting company cannot resolve it, I suggest finding a new company...

I believe that is fixed now as there is no reply from the thread starter so I believe he has sorted that isssue
