SSL being Secure Socket Layer, it might be.
But a socket is a listener, in the network computer jargon.
You can have a program "listening" to a socket and another one talking to it.
It allows them to communicate via a sequence of write/read.
Or it can be a socks proxy server ...
The term "socket server enabled server" doesn't really means anything.
