I have met that in the big supermarkets but have never seen on the web hosts.

Just have some doubts what that can mean. If you pay for 100 euros you get in additional (???) credits or just pay for the credits and then pay using credits?
Have ever met such in the web hosting world? And what that is? Discount system or what?

I've personally never have seen this in Web Hosting. From the looks of it, you pay $100 and get 3 credits to use. It may be discounted from their usual pricing

Interesting it looks like you prepay them as your not sure how much you will use. It can be very expensive and easy to take advantage of you but its a clever idea.

It's like buying a host currency, which you can then use to buy services.

Indeed it looks to be so. The more you prepay, the lower the cost per credit.

Well. I think that would be vise as well to get in touch with the particular web hosting company and ask them about that. I believe thay are the ones who know why that option was added there

It may just be me...but I see an issue here. Exactly how does the hosting company determine what a credit is worth. In addition, they can either raise or lower the amount a credit is worth at a whim. There is no stable "economy" with the use of a credit system.

Very true, and "inflation" could be dictated and totally unpredictable. Then again, is there a "stable economy" left these days?

that is not true for hosting services as all users can use their prepaid credits at any time to add new hosting/domain services or to renew existing hosting/domain accounts. This is like a constant currency, which is saved like a reserve. I suppose this system by 7host can be really reasonable to use.

There is no stable economy in credits. You have to hope that the hosting company is giving you a fair deal. It would be unwise to assume that they are. Just because a company says that 1 credit = 1 dollar makes it so. They may say 1 credit is equal to 5 dollars and charge you 15 credits for a service then you would be paying 75 dollars for a service with one hosting company that might cost you 50 in real money at another host.

They may also increase or decrease the value of the credit on the whim of the company. So again, there is no stable economy with the use of credits.
