No. Linux has no superiority over windows, security wise. There are things one can do to secure a windows machine - just as there are things needed done to secure linux.

i've heard this, but have no direct experience with the experiment.

But from what I have heard, people are saying that apache runs better on Unix than it does on windows.

Do anyone have any extra insight on this?
