Hi guys I just thought I would riase an issue you with you about the following host:

hostvector.com
hostmds.com

The reason:

I have received a number of e-mails over the last 2weeks that look like they are from my bank asking me to log-in and update my security information. I no my bank doe's not ever do this so I contacted them. When sending on the mail to them, they where able to trace the e-mail and it took them back to the address listed above using the e-mail account psychic@sabre.hostvector.com.

So before you hand over your bank account details to them I highly recommend that think twice.

sabre.hostvector.com == (not equal to) hostvector.com. It's simply a subdomain - causing havoc.

Hmm.. thanks for the warning.. online fraud is really rampant nowadays.

Are they free web hosting providers? I suppose that such subdomain under their control

Have you mailed the same to hostvector? I believe that they should be aware of that as well.

Would they give their blog (subdomain) owners the access to send mails to others? I don't think they should offer this kind of facility to their users. I think you should send a mail to hostvector.com about this and forward the mail you received. It's good to report a scammer when you see him scamming or spamming. That's the only way to save the internet for genuine users.

Also one primary rule on internet is, If you receive a mail from your bank or any accounts to confirm your ownership and the stuff, you should contact them right away and make sure that's actually sent by them and that is a genuine email. Or else, you are running into the chances of losing your accounts and getting your personal information stolen.
