Well I have only been in the buisness since late august of this year and I only have 8 clients. I have done the usuall stuff to promote. Seo's, link ads, banners webmasterstuff.com listing. I am now starting to be in a slump of sign ups. Do you have any ideas of how I could get out of this? I have good uptime and good reviews.
Concentrate on your customers. They should drive some new through word of mouth if they are satisfied with you.
Hope that helps
This is the best advice that I have seen so far. Satisfied customers are the best advertisement you will be able to produce. So do provide quality service and support that will work for you to get more customers.
perhaps offer users a free usage (for maybe a month of more) after a certain number of referals??

It is an ideal way to interact with the new customers. One can modify the setup of the system to show his/her current customers in the mask of new customers. The facility of a special tracking id is possessed by the customer, by giving it; he/she can consult with anybody whenever necessary. This way, the customer receives a reward for the utilization of his/her id. It is too recommended that one should submit his/her customer an account where he/she can do the verification of figures of his/her campaign. One should sign up the user to the referral program so that they can start bringing more users to the site. One can use some ready made soft wares available on the web for the accomplishment of management and tracking mentioned at the top.
Better do what you do weel and do not thing about newcomes. You need to be professional first of all. But first time I think that it will be useful give away some discounts for the people.

One of the things I have found to be successful is to build yourself up in your local market. Hit the pavement and talk to local business owners. Get them on board, even offering them free hosting in exchange for referrals. If you get enough local customers, the word will spread and your client-base will grow.
I would DEFINITELY NOT jump on the unlimited/cheap bandwagon. You're only asking for trouble and small hosts can't compete price-wise with the big guys anyway.

Easier said then done. Free offering might scare you away and that is not really good sign for your company.

I think that the best way to promote is to have a great product or service and great web content. This should pretty much promote itself, of course back links and articles are good too.
The economy is generally hurting right now. So, that might explain part of your sign-up 'slump'.
It's possible you might just have to tighten up your costs and focus on making your current customers happy until things turn around. If you can pull that off, you should be able to secure a steady stream of new clients once things get better.
Your friends will become your first customers and then you will need to concentrate on the service quality and I'm sure that they will drive their friends to you. I suppose that is a best promotion concern

That is truth. Do what you should to do and do that well and that is more than enough.

Make a good offer. Like "buy 1 year get 6 months" free, and also try making your prices low. But you already have . What i would suggest is try and provide great support to youur existing and new customers. Create a live chat button (alot of free live chat software out there like livezilla). Then try and help your customer as much as you can. Check up on them to see if they need anything. Then they will recommend to friends and they will recommend to other friends etc etc. Why not start an affiliate program to help encourage them. Good luck
