I would never use godaddy is a host, I only registered my domain with them as they are popular thus less probable to scam someone. ( in theory anyways )

Based on some user reviews that I have received, GoDaddy is really just good if you have a simple website to be hosted. Their server speed is really slow when your site traffic is building up. Good point is that their sitebuilder is good and better than many others. Support is good as well and they are very helpful.

GoDaddy is a great domain registrar, I couldn't comment about the hosting but I've had a few clients come over from them to me because of issues.

I think Godaddy have some issues as following:
1. Not able to connect to sql-server from local machine.
2. When I submit sitemap google analytics giving me error.
3. slow page load .
4. for everything you have to do different code, like for connection string, email etc.
but I feel godaddy is good for html hosting and its cheap , also you can do sql-server site for less.

From our experience GoDaddy are improving their hosting service, however still it is not flexible and I am afraid not very cooperative in terms of support.

However it is suitable for beginners. When the site/store grows, GoDaddy shared servers are not enough.

Do you check that for each web site you visit?

Actually the tendency to use not-expensive hosting companies is scary a bit, what do you think? That is good for beginners, however serious business owners should think of reliable powerful servers for their sites.

To my mind, saving money on hosting is not worth. That is just opinion :-)

Godaddy is good for domain hosting not for websites. Their support system is too poor. Their hosts do not support several php scripts. When you try to contact with the customer care they will test your patience by not answering in a short time. Therefore, for a professional support there is no way to choose GoDaddy.
