Can you recommend a good PHP host

Hi,
I like PHP as my nick might suggest. Trouble is, I'm always looking for a host that might be better than the one I'm with, because I want to take advantage of everything that one can do with code.
I've used awardspace, freehostia and free-space but found faults with all of them that held me back. I'm now using www.freephphostonline.com and am happy with it but is there something better out there, something with more space, more transfer per month or just newer versions of PHP and MySQL?
I plan on making a really big website with all the bells and whistles, including log-in capabilities and the ability for members to send messages amongst themselves, etc., so I'm going to need space, no limits and lots of monthly transfer. Freephphostonline.com seems good, but if you know of something more, please let me know!
Oh, and any tips on what graphics program is better to use than paint shop pro and is better for creating some really modern looking effects would be appreciated. I'm not great at graphics design anyway - need all the help I can get.
Thanks.

I would suggest http://www.thehosted.com they have a fast server and friendly staff. I know they offer cheaper packages then most. If you want to stick with a free host I am not sure you can find unlimited bandwidth, but then again.. you get what you pay for.

Hi PHP4me!
I`ve heard about freephphostonline.com and I think they are not bad as for the hosting company.
But if you really like PHP host and you want to find something better, I can suggest you to have a look at Hqhost.net, as they have, so to say, marvellous plans for their clients such as standard hosting plans, the price-per-gigabyte plan, the static content plans and, exceptionally for new clients they propose additional services and some discounts as well.
If you ask me, I really enjoy to deal with them.

What you will really need with an application like that, assuming you will get the number of visitors you dream of, will be computing resources. The data transfer will likely be the least of your problems. You can start with shared hosting, but it will soon enough be out of the question.
Most of all, make sure that the software can scale nicely.

You plan on making a really big website with all the bells and whistles, including log-in capabilities and the ability for members to send messages amongst themselves and you look for a good PHP host. I believe I can help you.
If I were you, I will check out Ahosting.biz
This hosting company usesRAID Disk Mirroring - short for Redundant Array of Independent Disks and used to mirror data on two disk drives simultaneously to ensure data integrity. Disk mirroring protects from loss of data by instantly switching to the other disk with no interruption in service if one of the disk drives fail without requiring data restoration from a backup.
Just have a look at and you will find very interesting facts about hosting.

I became interested in this hosting company..
Does it have a secure payment system? Because i am generally worried about the payments via visa on the internet.
Is this hosting fast and reliable?
Thanks

To have a really big site and all that space/bandwidth/resources you will need with php you need to look beyond any "free" host. Find a host that has eAccelerator installed that will make your site run faster as it gets bigger. Find a host that will let you upgrade as you need it, start small and increase your space/bandwidth when you need it. A good planned out site will pay for itself
