Hi,

Well im a simple webhost, and i want to provide VPS and Dedicated servers for my clients

So a client selects type of server i get it set up for them they pay me i pay a percent of it to the other company.

My webhost will do me a 10% comission but they are quite expensive, so i would like something which can provide more options for servers (pref so i can have user select all the parts etc) and i then submit specs get it set up etc.

Anyway can anyone help?

Wow really? I've heard a lot of horror stories about them! Please keep us informed how things progress.

As for the original question, it's difficult to answer since self-promo isn't allowed , but there are various options for this kind of thing depending on exactly what you're looking to offer and the degree of anonymity / white label service required.

I have been emailing a couple of DCs to see if they can offer a solution, at the moment it looks like rackspace has a select partner program which might be what i want still waiting for feedback about application, but i havnt seen prices and stuff and how it would work.

With regards to how white label it needs to be it all depends.
I would like it to appear to be me but if its comission is good im happy for it

Both are ok. Fast and stable.

Basically, im on a reseller, and i want to provide VPS and Dedicated (if someone wants a reseller i can simply upgrade myself to a VPS)

But im looking for a (pref UK) host, which can provide me with either cheap or discounted servers or VPS which i can then sell to my clients.

So i pay them my clients pay me. basically the middle man.

If possible i would like it to be as white label as possible but i wont sacrafic reasonable price / good service.

A bit off topic, but I was with eukhost for a while and they started off OK but I had a problem with ccertain ISPs accessing my sites and eukhost did very little to help - most of their support staff obviously aren't particularly technical and are most likely just reading off a sheet. They appeared not to be native English speakers either. I wouldn't recommend them to be honest.

I didnt think it would be a no-no if the user said that is what he wanted. Then again, it is 5 AM and maybe I misread the part where he asked for people to self promo themselves.

Certainly will. We haven't had any real problems at all.
We have had the usual "outsourced" "helpdesk" stuff.
eg:

US -> "We are getting this [insert error] message from Plesk, What did we do wrong"
HD -> "I will look and get back to you"
[few minutes just simply fly by]
HD -> "Okay, I have fixed that"
US -> " Cheers! So what was it and how do we avoid it in the future"
HD -> "It won't happen again"
US -> "Right"! "So what do we do when it does happen again"?
HD -> "It won't. We have fixed it"
US -> "Rightio then" So we'll just call you again when it does then"
HD -> "Ok, thank you for your call"

Different story of course if you get a UK based techy, you get to know what you messed up on, why it happened and how to avoid it.

Up to now we have had no problems at all with DNS, 300 sites (web and mail) were moved from a Windows box at TalkInternet, and split between 2 servers (Linux box stayed at TalkInternet and a new Windows box at Euk) with very little resolution problems. The Telewest caching updated inside 6 hours (which is quite quick for them) and as usual BT took around 18 hours.
But we do manage our own DNS servers and had set TTL to 15 mins about a week prior to the move happening.
