If you really want to go the "free" route (although I don't recommend it), try domainlagoon.com for a domain and freeweb7.com for free web hosting. I got a domain from domainlagoon.com a long time ago without even having to use my credit card, I just filled out random surveys with a fake email address. And freeweb7.com is probably the best free webhost out there.

And what will happen when you decide to transfer your domain to new host?

There isn't really a way for free hosting and domains. And honestly, it doesn't cost much at all. Prices for hosting and domains are generally very reasonable.

Usually the tactic is to sell one while offering the other for free...

I beleive that no one will give you free tld + free web hosting. There are no sense to provide such things.

I highly believe in the mantra: You get what pay for.
Really it doesn't cost that much to get a shared hosting account. Do a search on this forum and I think you will digg up some coupons. Usually with new hosting accounts you'll also get a free domain. Although I would recommend keeping you domain registrar seperate from your hosting service. A .com will cost you around 8 bucks a year.

Free web hosting can't be used for a serious business.

As someone said, you get what you pay for. it's almost impossible to get a free domain name. free webhosts do exist, but much of the time they make you show their ads on all of your pages.

We offer Free Domain with some of our plans but even then clients must register domains themselves and then we waive domain registration charges.

Want to do something seriously on the web, then invest money.
Nothing good can be done with free stuff..

I'm sure many things can be done with free hosting, no need to put it down . Not everyone needs 20GB of space, and 200GB of bandwidth. Its a great place to start for your small business, or new "company". No need to go out and spend senseless cash, on a few things your experimenting with.

As for the the Free Hosting, and the Free Domain, I don't think thats a very reasonable plan. Surely the company would be heading for bankruptcy, unless of course, they did some serious planning. On most cases, such plans are not completely free, and require you to do some kind of task ... such as post on a certain forum, or something of this sort.

I am using 000webhost.com for some of my domains for free, it is as good if not better than a lot of paid hosts.

so, is there any good free stuff to intro...
the freeweb7 is really a good hosting solution for those who need space for free...

my opinion is, better things can't do with free stuff...
