Well, I've searched in hosting forums and reliable hosting reviews for about 10 days for a decent shared hosting that can handle the specs of my websites:

- 1 GB of space and growing
- 13 GB of bandwidth and growing
- Multiple domains (I've 3 right now, one is international .ec)
- FTP downloads (I need a dedicated IP for an anonymous FTP [downloads only])

I've about $110 for a year of hosting... and I've found these three companies:

Domain.com - Standard Plan
http://www.domain.com/hosting/compare.php

COST: $107.40 (1 Year)

STORAGE: 10 GB
BANDWIDTH: 500 GB
DOMAINS: 50
ADDON DOMAINS: ?
BACKUPS: ?
EMAIL ACOUNTS: 150
CONTROL PANEL: cPanel ???
PHP: v5
MYSQL DB: up to 10
INCLUDED DEDICATED IP: ?

PROS: I don't know.. is a good domain hosting company?

CONS: Not a lot of info about some specs.

Eleven2.com - LaunchParty Plan [or Medium Plan]
http://www.eleven2.com/hosting/features/

COST: $96 (1 Year) [Medium: $143,64 (1 Year)]

STORAGE: 60 GB [Medium: 40 GB]
BANDWIDTH: 6000 GB [Medium: 500 GB]
DOMAINS: 1 I think...
ADDON DOMAINS: 100
BACKUPS: Hourly
EMAIL ACOUNTS: Unlimited
CONTROL PANEL: cPanel
PHP: v4 w/Zend, v5 w/Zend
MYSQL DB: ?
INCLUDED DEDICATED IP: ?

PROS: Litespeed. Ruby on Rails.

CONS: Overselling with LaunchParty plan and with unlimited emails. No multiple domains.

GeekStorage.com - Geek Plan

http://www.geekstorage.com/gs/service/shared/compare

COST: $108 (1 year)

STORAGE: 20 GB
BANDWIDTH: 500 GB
DOMAINS: 1 I think...
ADDON DOMAINS: Unlimited
BACKUPS: Nightly backups
EMAIL ACOUNTS: Unlimited
CONTROL PANEL: Cpanel
PHP: v5 w/Zend
MYSQL DB: Unlimited
INCLUDED DEDICATED IP: YES (1)

PROS: Litespeed. Quick answer to my questions. Ruby on Rails. Transfer my data files for free. Dedicated IP.

CONS: No multiple domains. Overselling with unlimited emails and MySQL databases I think.

I would really like some thoughts (sorry, the title of the thread is wrong :P) about these companies.. I must say that GeekStorage answered all my questions fast and in a decent way. I've not used a ticket in the other companies listed.

Any suggestion about other company that can handle my needs would be great!! ..but I don't want overselling companies like IXWebHosting (I had problems with them).

But... all that hosts you already mentioned oversell. 500GB of data transfer alone would cost $50+, if it weren't for overselling.

Heard some good things about eleven2, though not very recently. Geekstorage is a relatively new company. Not yet time-tested IMO.

Just some thoughts, as you requested.

Well, they don't oversell a lot I think ...
thanks for the input!

the search continues...

It's better to refer to the host itself to get info about the specs of the plans they offer, I recommend you to contact each host with the list of questions you have and see how promptly and efficiently they will respond to you. Check the number of years each company has been in the undustry.
Also browse webhostingtalk.com threads to read reviews about other companies. You may check my host as well, I've been using serverpoint.com shared hosting services.

well most companys now oversell it is common as it is highly unlikely you will use that 500gb, but it is there if you need it. Take a look on the forum and see what good reviews there are, it is better going with a more reliable provider that costs a bit more then going with the cheapest and cheapest usually means you will get not as good customer wupport and reliability
