and am curious, what's the catch? 8.88 a month is understandable... 8.88 for 2 years? That seems crazy.

First of all, it's on eBay...which, as we all know, increases the scam factor by a factor of 5 by itself.

Second, this is clearly "budget" hosting at its finest. Take a look at this auction. Do the pictures in the WebHostWay template seem a little odd? If so, hover your mouse over the WebHostWay logo and see what pops up in the status bar. Not bad, eh?

Finally, the "unlimited" everything. Unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited emails, etc. Unlimited is a word that does not exist, and is generally reserved by hosting companies for get-rich-quick hosting scammers.

In other words, you'd be better off taking the $8.88 and flushing it down the toilet.

They don't sell hosting from their main web site either.
It just redirects you back to eBay. Very shady.

That ties back into the price because it's 3 drunken 8 which comes to a drunken 24 which is a show about torturing people to fight terrorism. Which means the web host supports Bush, which gets us back to the being drunk part.

PHP 4 + PHP 5 = (16)(8)(16)4 + (16)(8)(16)5 = 8^5 * 4 + 8^5 * 5 =294912. If we add the digits up, we get 2 + 9 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 2 = 27 = 8+8+8 (or 8.88) + 2 years + 1 web host far too honest to screw over the consumer, based on no proof whatsoever.
