To answer previous questions, my website is almost always up, it's the mySQL databases that are really slow and unreliable.
What I HATE about IXWebHosting is when the database is completely down, they have NO IDEA that a problem exists in the first place. It takes them 5-10 minutes to figure it out once you've told them. After that you have to keep calling them to get it fixed.
The "live chat support" is becoming a joke. Nowadays, you have to wait 15 minutes for somebody to respond. Most people are totally unqualified to be tech support and are sometimes very rude. After they waste 30 minutes of your time, they tell you to create a support ticket to have somebody else fix the problem. I asked them if they could create a ticket for me, considering they were fully aware of the problem - they said NO, they didn't have time for that. Another thing they do is accuse you of changing a script or control panel setting to make the database crash.
My site crashed when I was on vacation one time. I was 200 miles away from a phone or internet connection, at a location that didn't even have electricity or running water, but they INSISTED I caused the problem.
